INTERVIEW: Kaitlin Olson, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Posted by Stuart OConnor | Fri, 24/06/2011 - 18:20

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has been running for a few years now – it's about to go into its seventh season and has grown a dedicated following as well as rave reviews from US critics. Now British audiences will get the chance to get to know this comedy gem with the release of Season 1 on DVD.

Screenjabber recently had the chance to sit down for a chat with one of the stars of the show, the sharp and funny Kaitlin Olson but first, here's a little about the show itself ...

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia follows the misadventures of four best friends running an Irish pub. Starring Rob McElhenney, Glenn Howerton, Charlie Day and Olson, It’s Always Sunny... is smartly written and darkly comic. Motivated only by their egos, the owners of Paddy’s Irish Pub; Mac (McElhenney), Charlie (Day), Dennis (Howerton) and Dee (Olson) will go to any lengths to get one up on the others…

Through bad judgements and misunderstandings hysterical, embarrassing and uncomfortable scenarios continuously arise making It’s Always Sunny...  must-watch television. Controversies involving racism, abortion and gun control somehow keep cropping up, and while the group are self-professed authorities on all subjects, they possess expertise in nothing at all.

If you love Cheers, How I Met Your Mother or My Name is Earl then It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is for you.
