Zach Galligan on Nothing Lasts Forever

nothing lasts forever zach galligan interview 2016 embedScreenjabber's Stuart O'Connor chats with Zach Galligan about his first film – the unreleased classic Nothing Lasts Forever – plus the latest news on Gremlins 3. Nothing Lasts Forever is showing at London's Prince Charles Cinema on Sunday December 4, and will be introduced by Zach himself who will stay for a Q&A after the film.

Written and directed by Saturday Night Live veteran Tom Schiller (and produced by SNL's Lorne Michaels), Nothing Lasts Forever is a musical science-fiction fantasy that tells the story of young struggling artist Adam Beckett (Galligan) who gets caught in the machinations of a totalitarian retro/future New York City and ends up taking a trip to the moon. The film also features SNL alums Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray, along with Futurama's Lauren TomMort Sahl, Lawrence Tierney, Imogene Coca and Eddie Fisher. Filmed in black-and-white with colour sequences, the film was set for release is the same year as Ghostbusters, but was shelved due to legal problems involving the use of copyrighted music and clips from classic movies.

Stuart O'Connor is the Managing Editor of Screenjabber, the movie review website he co-founded with Neil Davey far too many years ago. He likes all genres, as long as the film is good (although he does enjoy the occasional bad "guilty pleasure"), and drinks way too much coffee.
