A chat with Marcia Do Vales

Screenjabber's Stuart O'Connor talks to actress and producer Marcia Do Vales about her journey to the UK via Spain and her work. One of the UK’s brightest horror genre imports, Brazilian-born Do Vales is not only carving a name for herself as a film actress, but gaining a reputation as a gifted producer, with Paul Hyett’s supernatural thriller Heretiks her latest credit. Having kick-arsed her way through Brit zomcom Ibiza Undead, Do Vales is set to star in Quail Hollow (working title), directed by Javier De Prado, where she plays identical twins with some pretty dark powers.

Stuart O'Connor is the Managing Editor of Screenjabber, the movie review website he co-founded with Neil Davey far too many years ago. He likes all genres, as long as the film is good (although he does enjoy the occasional bad "guilty pleasure"), and drinks way too much coffee.
