A Matter of Class: new Brink gameplay video

By Nathan Hardisty

A new trailer has been released for Brink and it’s showing off a game which increasingly looks like Team Fortress 2 meets Minecraft in terms of objective-based gameplay meeting non-linear, non-scripted events. There’s an emphasis on team-play in this trailer, which highlights my comparison above, along with a lot of emergent events going on in the background. I’ve been seeing this game as the next step in merging multiplayer and single-player together and I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

SYNOPSIS: The Earth's oceans have risen to dangerous levels, and mankind has escaped to the Ark - a floating city built as an experiment, and never designed to hold such numbers. Now, widespread civil unrest has pushed humanity to the brink of all-out war - and YOU will play a defining part in its future.

Brink heads to the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in Europe on May 20

Stuart O'Connor is the Managing Editor of Screenjabber, the movie review website he co-founded with Neil Davey far too many years ago. He likes all genres, as long as the film is good (although he does enjoy the occasional bad "guilty pleasure"), and drinks way too much coffee.
