Shorts

Robert Rodriguez got his start making low bugdet action (and horror) films full of violence and bloodshed and gunplay aplenty. Bt he's also made quite a name for himself as a purveyor of quite good childrens' entertainment – as evidence, check out his rather fine Spy Kids trilogy.

With Shorts – or, to give it its full title, Shorts: The Adventures of the Wishing Rock – Rodriguez is firmly back in kids territory. It's a multi-chaptered film in much the same way o in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here text to go in here

Stuart O'Connor is the Managing Editor of Screenjabber, the movie review website he co-founded with Neil Davey far too many years ago. He likes all genres, as long as the film is good (although he does enjoy the occasional bad "guilty pleasure"), and drinks way too much coffee.
